The Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to lead industry outreach efforts nationwide to drive adoption of the Sigma platform within government, nonprofit and private sectors. With a particular focus on disaster response and recovery, Sigma is partnering with multiple states and partner nonprofit, corporate and faith-based organizations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of disaster response.
 
Sigma is a startup environment where you will be expected to roll up your sleeves, take initiative, and get creative about finding solutions to challenges. This is a full-time  position based in Millbrae, CA (Sigma Headquarters), with significant travel requirements (50% to 75%) Remote work is also an option.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with Market Development team to thoroughly understand the inner-workings of the Volunteer Emergency Services industry.
  • Grow and execute on the cross-functional industry penetration strategy.
  • Expand the Sigma presence from current target states to nationwide.
  • Identify, onboard, and maintain key partnerships across industry stakeholders (organization managers, individual contributors, and developers).  
  • Advise and support members across multiple teams (Product, Marketing, Developer Relations, Customer Success) as the internal industry liaison/expert.
  • Spearhead/oversee all outreach to industry-based target organizations and users, serving as Sigma’s liaison and primary representative within the industry.
  • Maintain consistent internal communication, across meetings and tools (hubspot, asana, slack), to keep team updated, aligned, and progressing towards Industry goals.
  • Explore additional expansion opportunities in near field industries.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years project management, business development, or sales experience.
  • Experience in disaster response, political, labor, public service, or community organizing is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, as demonstrated through previous experience
  • Ability to prepare a presentation and present to both a formal and informal audience
  • Strong organizational skills
